Izabela Kozarewicz is the founder of International Group Design, a successful commercial design firm based out of Detroit, in its twentieth year of business. Before landing in America, Izabela was raised in Poland where she earned a Masters Degree in Political Science due to her love for political negotiation. In 1985, she planned her first vacation to the US and didn’t return home. Despite having only five hundred dollars in her pocket and knowing very little English, Izabela was determined to live the American Dream.

Izabela’s lifelong passion for sketching is what lead her to fall in love with interior design. After being solicited by an architectural firm to create sketches for their presentations, Izabela knew interior design was her calling and never looked back. She immediately changed her trajectory and went to Art School at The International Academy of Merchandising and Design in Tampa, where Izabela graduated with honors in Interior Design.

After beginning her design journey at Interior Space International, ranked in the Top 100 Giants Interior Design Firms, Izabela established International Group Design in 1999. Now decades later, Izabela continues to gain monumental inspiration from the evolution of design trends wordwide. She specializes in tenant improvement and focuses on three key elements in her design process: function, style, and budget. Izabela works directly with her clients to determine the best options for their office, ones that are not only fabulous, but have a great return on investment! Izabela and her clients work as a team to implement the perfect aesthetics and solutions to supplement their growing business, including full interior design services, and incredibly cost effective design solutions for tenant improvements locally, nationally, and internationally.

Izabela has completed over eighty projects from both European and American companies. She has received several awards, including the Michigan Interior Design Excellence Award for the best commercial building over 10,000 square feet, for her work with Ilmor Engineering. Izabela has also completed many projects for Doug Etkin, Doug Manix, Thom Catallo, Real Estate One, and many other prestigious commercial and residential facility owners. As of 2018, HGTV is filming episodes at The Broock, one of Izabela’s most cherished design projects.
